Hello Guys!
So I've decided that at the end of every month I'm going to do a 'Things I've loved this month' post. I'm the kind of person that always experiments with beauty products and often switches brands. However, I am rarely wow'ed or absolutely love a product, so anything featured in these posts you'll know will be worth the splurge!
In the month of November i have been loving Topshop lipsticks. In the past I've never been bothered about looking at the make up in Topshop, but since my first lipstick purchase I've been hooked.
From left to right; Hazard, Firecracker and Innocent.
The First Topshop lipstick i brought was Firecracker; a deep burnt orange. I wasn't the biggest fan of the colour, as i was comparing it to my beloved Morange by MAC which is definitely a more 'wow' shade. However i do like how this colour really compliments the paleness of my skin. The aspect I was most impress with was the finish. All three the Topshop lipsticks I own are 'Velvet Moisturising Finish' and I LOVE it. I suffer from dry/ chapped lips all year round and no amount of Vaseline seems to do the trick, so usually I have trouble finding lipsticks that don't sit in the grooves of my lips or appear really flaky after a short period of time. This formula keeps my lips hydrated whilst the colour lasts.
Hazard. This lipstick looks much darker in the bullet than it transfers onto the lips, which at first I was disappointed with. I would describe the colour as a cranberry colour, it is a few fractions darker than the 'true red' shade. This lipstick is really long lasting and i think it would look particularly great on olive skin tones.
My favourite of all three lipsticks is the shade Innocent, which is so surprising as i never ever wear nudes! I have never found a nude lipstick that suits me as I am very pale and i feel they make me looked really washed out. Innocent contains just the right balance of nude and pink, the pink really helps to give my skin a healthy flushed appearance. The lipstick also has lilac undertones which makes it a slightly darker nude.
I hope you enjoyed the post, let me know if you think 'Things I've loved this month' is a good idea or not! See you soon, Alex
